The show's most graphic episode: an Alien-style horror episode in which a character's chest cavity violently bursts open releasing Gorn hatchlings, a cadet is killed immediately, crew members are dragged away and killed, and there are multiple jump scares and bloody imagery. A main character is fatally infected with Gorn eggs and sacrifices himself.
A utopian society's technology is maintained by keeping a child perpetually connected to a machine; a shriveled child victim is shown being removed and replaced.
Prolonged and brutal hand-to-hand combat against Klingons; the fighting is intense though not heavily bloody.
