The White Lotus (Season 1)
A six-episode HBO satirical black comedy set at a luxury Hawaiian resort, following wealthy guests and overworked staff across one week. Adult content is pervasive and intentional: explicit sexual material, heavy drug use, and a violent death are core to the storytelling.
Episodes to know about
A visibly pregnant hotel trainee goes into sudden labor on her first day; she labors in distress in a manager's office while a dinner party continues nearby.
Explicit nudity, simulated sex scenes, and graphic sexual humor recur across all six episodes; the content is present from the opening episode onward.
The hotel manager's relapse into pill abuse and ketamine use begins here and escalates through the rest of the season, directly driving the plot toward its violent conclusion.
